The department designs and delivers community health services and programs and serves as the lead agency for the Food to Families initiative. This three-year grant supports the initiative, which is aimed at reducing the risk of obesity, improving access to healthy foods and fostering community activities that support the health of African American and Latino pregnant women. The effort is part of our Safety Net Enhancement Initiative.
