The agency’s Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program has reduced lead hazards for Alameda County children through remediation efforts, home evaluations, case management and training in lead-safe construction practices. This grant continues support for the agency’s work as part of Kresge’s Advancing Safe and Healthy Homes initiative, specifically to develop tools to educate a broad range of housing and health practitioners on science-based procedures to eliminate mold in substandard housing.
