How to use the Kresge name
Our name is The Kresge Foundation. Please use all three words – and capitalize “The” – on first reference. Kresge or Kresge Foundation is fine on second reference.
The Kresge Foundation was founded in 1924 to promote human progress. Today, Kresge fulfills that mission by building and strengthening pathways to opportunity for low-income people in America’s cities, seeking to dismantle structural and systemic barriers to equality and justice. Using a full array of grant, loan, and other investment tools, Kresge invests more than $160 million annually to foster economic and social change. For more information visit kresge.org.

We are a transparent organization and have achieved the Foundation Center’s Glass Pockets designation. This includes publishing information on grants awarded since 2009 and social investment made since 2008. A searchable listing is available in the Grants & Social Investments section of this website. There you will find the relevant information on the organization, the amount of our investment and the rationale for our support.
We encourage our partners to be equally forthcoming when questioned by media about Kresge partnerships and/or funding. You also may also refer Kresge-related media inquiries to email@example.com.
