Social Investment Practice
Six community development financial institutions based in Hawaii — Hawai’i Community Lending, HHOC Mortgage, Hawaii Community Reinvestment Corporation, Lei Ho’olaha, Hawaii Habitat for Humanity Association, and Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement — are taking part in a cohort supported by a $1 million investment to help them strengthen their applications to the CDFI Fund, improve collaboration across their local sector, and improve outcomes for their communities. The impressive results from the first two years are outlined in this case study, which includes background on the initiative, data on how funding for the organizations has improved, and impact stories on each organization.
