Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email National business leaders and local entrepreneurs say Detroit presents good or excellent opportunity for their businesses and offers much of what they need to succeed, as highlighted in the 2017 Detroit Reinvestment Index, made public today. The index was created in 2016 to measure Detroit’s economic rebound after emerging from municipal bankruptcy in 2014, and to help investors and nonprofit funders understand the contours of the city’s revitalization and reinvestment. National business leaders and Detroit-area entrepreneurs were surveyed about their perceptions of the city, its business environment and investment potential. The full report is available on the Kresge website. The updated, expanded index was unveiled at an event at the Brookings Institution in Washington, D.C. Kresge Foundation President and CEO Rip Rapson discussed the results of the latest survey, after introductory remarks by Amy Liu of Brookings.
