Share Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Email Kresge Foundation President and CEO Rip Rapson discussed the role of arts and culture in community development work at a recent conference in Wshington, D.C. that was part of the recent anniversary celebration of the National Endowment for the Arts (NEA). The keynote address “Why the Arts Must be at the Table,” was delivered at the Wilson Center on Dec. 6, 2016. The conference on Creative Placemaking and Community Development was sponsored by the NEA, The Kresge Foundation, ArtPlace America, Art Works and Partners for Livable Communities. It drew artists, community development experts, and policymakers to examine the role of the arts in shaping neighborhoods, towns and cities.
