Physician Assistant, retired, Cancer Care Associates, P.C.
Cynthia L. Kresge serves as the family representative on The Kresge Foundation’s Board of Trustees, a position she has held since 2013.
She worked for 39 years as a Physician Assistant specializing in medical oncology, prior to retiring in 2021. Most recently, she was on staff at Cancer Care Associates P.C. in Royal Oak, Michigan, managing outpatient services and patient follow-up, and providing leadership for the launch of two electronic health record program implementations.
Previously she worked at Karmanos Cancer Institute at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit. There she coordinated the institute’s participation in the Breast Cancer Prevention Trial sponsored by the National Surgical Adjuvant Breast Program and the National Cancer Institute, as well as the Breast Cancer Prevention Program.
She is a Fellow of the Michigan Academy of Physician Assistants and the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Her research has been published in a number of oncology journals.
She previously served on the board of directors of the Samaritan Counseling Center of Southeast Michigan. She attended the University of Colorado and earned her bachelor’s degree in Health Science and a Physician Assistant certificate from Duke University.
