We are a private, national foundation that works to expand opportunities in America’s cities through grantmaking and social investing in arts and culture, education, environment, health, human services and community development in Detroit.
This project support grant is for the German Marshall Fund of the United States’ second Vibrant Neighborhoods Forum in New Orleans, Louisiana. A nonpartisan public policy institution, the Fund convenes leaders to discuss the most pressing transatlantic issues on a variety of global and local policy challenges. This subsequent iteration will shift the dialogue from the costs of exclusion to the opportunity of building inclusive, vibrant communities to result in a global exchange between U.S. and international practitioner’s adept at on-the-ground contributions of Creative Placemaking. This effort aligns with the Arts & Culture team's Field Building priorities to invest in initiatives that expand and sustain Creative Placemaking’s role in equitable community development nationwide and builds the capacity of participants attending from Detroit, Memphis and New Orleans.
