Expanding opportunities in America’s cities

Council for a Strong America

Washington, D.C.

The council serves as the parent organization for five programmatic groups dedicated to expanding opportunities and strengthening pathways out of poverty for disadvantaged children and families. This two-year grant supports the communications and advocacy work of the council’s “unexpected messengers,” a network of leaders from law enforcement, business, the ministry and the armed forces that champions research-based public investments in social, educational and health-related programs and policies.
