Napoleon Wallace is a social investment officer at The Kresge Foundation. He supports the foundation’s Social Investment Practice and Health and Human Services programs. He joined the foundation in 2016.

Before joining Kresge, Napoleon served as an executive staff member at Self-Help, where he managed several community development efforts, including small-business lending, financial institution turnarounds, mergers, portfolio acquisitions and community development real estate projects. He has also worked as a high-yield research analyst with Wells Fargo Capital Markets and as a commercial credit analyst in M&F Bancorp’s Commercial Credit group.

A native of North Carolina, Napoleon earned a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School and a bachelor’s degree in finance from North Carolina Central University.

He serves on the Investment Committee of the Mary Reynolds Babcock Foundation and has worked with Initiative Capital, Natural Capital Investment Fund and First Legacy Community Credit Union for more than five years.
