She engages in various aspects of the grantmaking process, including reviewing grant applications. Mandy maintains a small grant portfolio within the Environment Program in addition to providing research and special project support for the Environment team.

John R. Nordgren, senior program officer for Environment, developed the Environment Program’s climate adaptation strategy. He manages The Kresge Foundation’s adaptation portfolio, which uses strategic investments and other tools to build society’s capacity to lessen the harmful impacts of climate change on people and nature.

Jessica Boehland serves as a program officer for Environment at The Kresge Foundation, where her grantmaking activity supports policies and programs to reduce energy usage in the built environment. Her responsibilities include developing and refining grantmaking strategies, inviting and reviewing funding proposals, and monitoring the outcomes of Kresge-supported efforts.
