Call for Applications for the Arts and Culture Program’s Facility Investments and Building Reserves Grants
TROY, MICHIGAN – The Kresge Foundation's Arts and Culture Program is inviting preliminary applications for its Facility Investments and Building Reserves grants. The opportunity is part of the program's Institutional Capitalization focus area, which is designed to strengthen the long-term financial health of arts and cultural organizations.
Deadline for submissions is Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at midnight Eastern Time.
Please note: There have been two modifications to the eligibility criteria.
- Applicants for Facility Investments and Building Reserves grants must have arts and culture as their primary mission. Applicants that are subsidiaries, programs or departments of parent organizations that do not have arts and culture as their primary mission are not eligible for this grant opportunity.
- Applicants no longer need to have positive unrestricted net assets to be eligible for consideration.
Institutional Capitalization is one facet of the Arts and Culture Program's new national grantmaking strategy to foster the long-term financial stability of arts and cultural organizations, support artists' services, and help integrate arts and culture activities into effective community building.
The foundation calls for preliminary applications for Facility Investments and Building Reserves grants twice a year, in the spring and the fall.
