Committed to publishing works of educational, cultural, social, and community value, New Press has released more than 1,000 titles since 1990. This grant will develop, publish and promote a general readership book that tells the inside story of the unique role Georgia State University (GSU) has played as a national model for expanding post-secondary access and success for low-income, first generation and under-represented students. Using a variety of tools, including data analytics, GSU has increased graduation rates by 22 percentage points and closed all achievement gaps based on economic status, race and ethnicity.
